CompTIA Canadian IT Services and Support Community Targets Four Groups for Financial Assistance

Four Canadian organizations involved in the promotion of employment opportunities , internet safety for children and literacy are the 2013 recipients of financial donations from the Canadian IT services and support of the community of CompTIA , the non-profit association for the IT industry .

The scholarships were awarded to Canada Company ($ 2,500) , Colegio de la Frontera ($ 2,500) , the sons of Internet Safety Alliance ( Kinsa ) ($ 2,500) and microskills Development Center ($ 2,500) .

" Each of these organizations is making the sign every day through programs of education and training that provide vital and many people ," said Chris Adamson , director of the CompTIA IT Services and Community support in Canada, and director of information technology and professional services for Ricoh Canada Inc. "Thousands of people have benefited from the positive experiences that can change your life by these four organizations . We are pleased and privileged to support their efforts . "


Employment Transition Program Military Canada company builds and strengthens relationships between employers and the Canadian military . The program facilitates connections between employers and the Canadian Forces , that former members of the Canadian armed forces to bring important skills developed in the military and civil application in the workplace .
Frontier College is a national literacy organization that works with volunteers and community partners to give people the skills and confidence they need to reach their potential. Beat the award-winning Frontier College Street, offers a supportive environment for young people on the streets to practice critical thinking and the development of skills and strategies to become self-directed learners for life.

Committed to creating a comprehensive safety net that protects all children around the world against exploitation. Kinsa works in collaboration with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and is recognized and respected by law enforcement worldwide .


Microskills Development Center is a multi -cultural , community-based committed to help the unemployed , giving priority to women , racial minorities , young people and immigrants, to build a better future. The organization has served the community in the Greater Toronto Area since 1984.

This is the third consecutive year in which the member communities of CompTIA have given a cash contribution for charities , nonprofit groups and programs that are changing lives for the better through education , training and opportunities .

Funding for the grants is provided by creating IT Futures Foundation , the charitable arm of CompTIA . The foundation helps people who are under-represented in the IT world working and people who are deprived of the opportunity to prepare for, protect and succeed in a career in IT .
"Creating IT Futures is proud to fund organizations that are making a difference by helping people to expand their individual worlds ," said Charles Eaton , CEO of the foundation.
